He graduated from Lviv Polytechnic Institute in 1971 with a degree in transportation engineering. Dunets began his musical career in the 1990s, performing over 50 concerts in Canada with the folk music group "Vizerunok" in 1993. He has composed over 200 songs, collaborating with renowned Ukrainian poets and composers. His works have been performed by notable artists such as Ivan Popovych and Pavlo Zibrov. Dunets has released several albums, including "Maminі Malvy" (1998) and "Ya Povernayus" (2008). He has received numerous awards, including the Order of Merit III degree in 2018. His music has been featured in films like "I Live with Songs" (2003). Dunets' contributions have significantly enriched Ukrainian music and culture.
