Ihor Mykhailovych Ivantsiv, born on May 19, 1956, is a Ukrainian composer and member of the National League of Composers of Ukraine. He resides and works in Burshtyn, at the "Prometheus" Palace of Culture associated with the Burshtyn Thermal Power Plant. With over 40 years of professional experience, his repertoire includes more than 200 songs performed by various artists, including People's Artist of Ukraine Volodymyr Pirus, Viktor Hryn, Taras Zhytynskyi, Oksana Romaniuk, Mika Newton (Oksana Hrytsai), and Vasyl Levytskyi. Ivantsiv collaborates with prominent poets from the Prykarpattia region, such as Stepan Pushyk, Roman Yuzva, and Yaroslav Doroshenko. He is dedicated to nurturing young talent, having established a vocal studio at the "Prometheus" Palace of Culture, from which artists like Viktor Hryn, Mika Newton, Oksana Romaniuk, and Vasyl Levytskyi have emerged. In 1997, he was recognized as the best children's composer in Ukraine. Ivantsiv has served as a jury member for leading children's festivals, including "Chornomorski Ihry," "Kryshtalevyi Zhaivir," and "Zolotyi Tik." To commemorate his 50th birthday, he prepared a song collection featuring pieces for both children and adults and released two compact discs, one of which is dedicated to children's music.
