Stanislav Shcherbatykh, known by his stage name Tryzuby Stas, was a Ukrainian musician, composer, and poet born on February 24, 1948, in Aleysk, Altai Krai. After his father's death, his family moved to Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, in 1949. Initially working as a restaurant musician, he later engaged in documentary filmmaking and animation, creating notable works like "Prowody na polonynu" and "Ljudyna i nafta." In the late 1980s, he joined the Lviv theater studio "Ne zhurysya!" and adopted the pseudonym "Tryzuby Stas," humorously explaining it as having "three teeth" against the Komsomol, the Communist Party, and trade unions. He authored over 300 songs and 1,300 short animated films, along with the opera "Korova Sereda" and the novel "Nichyjna zemlya." His satirical songs, often critical of the government, gained him national recognition. He passed away on January 24, 2007, in Kyiv from a heart attack.
