Info about Kryholam:

"Криголам" is a Ukrainian rock band formed in 1983 in the Kherson region. The group has released 17 underground albums spanning genres such as blues-rock, hard rock, heavy metal, folk-rock, and progressive rock. Their recent works include "Тріш-треш" (2013), "Шевченко-рокер" (2014), and "Ти не такий" (2016). During the Russian occupation of Kherson in 2022, band members Vovchyk and Kostyk recorded the album "Блюз в окупації" ("Blues in Occupation") in a residential apartment, using blankets for soundproofing to avoid detection. The album comprises 17 tracks reflecting their experiences under occupation. After Kherson's liberation in November 2022, "Криголам" made the album publicly available. The band's lyrics often address pressing social issues, aiming to awaken the conscience of their listeners. They have performed at festivals like "Червона рута" and "Таврійські ігри." The band's founder and primary songwriter is Volodymyr Demchenko. "Криголам" continues to contribute to Ukraine's musical landscape with their distinctive style and socially conscious themes.
