"Вежа Хмар" was a Ukrainian folk-ambient band formed in the summer of 1997 by sisters Oleksandra Volokh and Valentyna Syzevych. Their music blended neofolk, dark ambient, and ritualistic folk elements, creating a unique sound deeply rooted in ancient traditions. In April 1998, Olena Lukina joined the group, contributing vocals and lyrics. By August 1999, guitarist Ihor Makuha became part of the ensemble. The band's compositions often featured minimal percussion, occasionally incorporating tambourines or electronic rhythms. Their lyrics, reminiscent of ancient texts, evoked imagery of castles, mythical creatures, and medieval landscapes. In 2008, "Vezha Khmar" ceased activities, leaving behind an unfinished album with a note stating that no new albums would be completed. Despite their brief existence, they remain a cult favorite in the Ukrainian underground music scene.
