Alla Kudlai is a renowned Ukrainian singer born on July 23, 1954, in Losynivka, Chernihiv Oblast. She graduated from Nizhyn Gogol State University and began her musical career in 1978 with the Veryovka Ukrainian Folk Choir. In 1984, she became a soloist with the Ukrainian State Television and Radio Symphony Orchestra. Kudlai was honored as a Merited Artist of Ukraine in 1987 and as a People's Artist of Ukraine in 1997. Her popular songs include "Pakhne m'yata" (Smells Like Mint), "Krasiva zhinka nezamizhna" (Beautiful Unmarried Woman), and "Kokhanka" (Mistress). In 2003, she celebrated 25 years of her career with three sold-out concerts at the National Palace of Culture. Kudlai is also known as the godmother of singer Nastya Kamensky. In 2017, she participated in the seventh season of the television show "Holos Krainy" (The Voice of the Country). During the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she remained in Kyiv, performing for military personnel and supporting charitable events.
